In the Middle East Frankincense has been considered to have holy properties for thousands of years. It was brought to the Christ child by the wise men from the East. It was considered precious and valuable. In our own time, it continues to have its precious status.
Uses for Frankincense essential oil include:
Stimulating the mind – focus and concentration improved
Stress and depression – This oil is known to have chemicals that stimulate the part of the brain that controls emotions. It assists with anxiety and calming as well.
Skin Care – Excellent for use with aging or dry skin
Cancer/tumors – sounds crazy but recent studies have shown that properties of this oil “close down the nucleus to stop it reproducing corrupted DNA codes.” Science is discovering what many who have used this oil have known for a very long time.
Hormonal Balance – It has direct effect on the health of the pituitary gland.
Immune System– Diffuse throughout the home or massage 1-2 drops into the feet daily, as needed.
Asthma – diffuse this oil for help with this.
Infection – It helps with cuts and scraps, and inner infections.
Vertigo – place a drop or two behind each ear.
Ulcers– Take internally in capsules or food. Gently massage over the area and into the reflex points of the feet.
Inflammation of joints and muscles– Place a drop or two on spots of inflammation.
This oil is used often in combinations that assist and strengthen some of these same situations.
